As a professional poet (which means I get paid for writing poetry for companies and individuals) and a poetry teacher, as well as guest poetry critiquer for various poetry forums, I read poems daily on lots of platforms, including Medium and Substack.
What do you think the general standard is? Here is my opinion, and this would be the opinion of any proficient poetry writer.
75% is poor to abysmal
10% is average
10% is good but poorly presented
the remaining 5% is good to excellent
