MICROPOETRY
A poem

Black talons grip
the veil between worlds
as hooded crows
bring their shadowed secrets
like a creeping ominous mist
night’s unliving whispers
find shape in their obsidian forms
beaks piercing spaces
where dread waits
to consume mortal souls
the murdered’s cries echo
through their raucous calls
unanswered vengeance lingers
in their obsidian eyes
until day’s light shatters
nature’s dark unbroken accord
empty soulless things
now feed upon those
their talons clutch
their descent blocks out the sun
unblinking blackness all falls
under their wings’ unholy shadow
