A poem

Early dawn cracks the wispy air,
as day penetrates with enormous slowness.
Fractured shadows, caressing the edge of sleep,
flutter in deep tongues of light
against a tinted sky, with tones of shell.
In the glimmered lace of sunrise’s veil,
the moon decides it’s time to slink away,
her mantle feeling the delicacy of radiant morn.
Daybreak speaks in a soft faint glow,
as the rhythm of Earth begins.
