Greetings…
Here is a touch of sadness to touch your heart. It is a wistful and nostalgic poem by Tom Kane. It’s called -
A Wisp of Nothing
I catch you in the wind
Those flickers in the breeze
that chill my bones...
Behind my eyes,
upon my skin, you linger in the dust.
When outside is inside,
and tears have lost their salty grain,
your presence pervades the room.
seconds, days, years, aeons,
I dimly remember to forget
yet still you remain.
Here it is, this time spoken:
Bridging the gap between written word and visual media: I'm pleased to announce the release of my latest project - a video rendition of my poem 'A Wisp of Nothing' on YouTube. As a professional constantly seeking new ways to express ideas and emotions, this venture into visual poetry represents an exciting step in my creative journey. The poem delves into themes of memory, loss, and the persistence of past experiences - topics that resonate across many aspects of life, both personal and professional. I invite my network to view this short video and share their perspectives on the intersection of poetry and visual storytelling in today's digital world.
This piece explores the bittersweet nature of memories - how they can fade yet still linger in unexpected ways. It's a reflection on loss, nostalgia, and the passage of time. I'd love for you to take a moment to watch and let me know your thoughts. Poetry has a way of connecting us through shared emotions, and I hope this resonates with you.
