A poem
Pastel colors bleed through darkness,
a gentle goodnight
as the sun melts to the horizon.
Coral and tangerine
over the fading landscape.
Light fades slowly,
lingering in lilac and violet,
relinquishing to the velvet night.
Shimmering on the edge of nightfall
gossamer lights flicker into being,
ghostly fingers, stretching and curling.
Hypnotic waves pulse gentle rhythms,
neon green meld into crimson,
stroking the sky in haunting hues.
Darkness lightens to azure and gold
as night makes way for dawn.
Softness spills over the horizon,
chasing shadows.
A new palette for the sky,
colors shifting, the cycle turning,
darkness and light in cozy embrace.
