With the new year comes the opportunity for me to prioritise mindfulness and well-being.
For me, being more attentive to the present moment and navigating experiences without judgment is a key aspect of mindfulness, and involves being more attentive to my own needs, as well as the needs and well-being of those around me.
As I strive to be more mindful in 2024, the focus is on compassion, attention, and holistic well-being.
While self-focused mindfulness has been shown to improve symptoms of depression and increase empathy, recent research suggests the importance of being attentive to those around us, not just ourselves, so the year ahead presents a chance to embrace mindfulness as a powerful tool for nurturing both personal and interpersonal well-being,
Another chance to improve as a useful member of society.
