A poem

The echoes of childhood reverberate
through the halls of my mind,
shaping the contours of my being.
Laughter that once rang out freely
now whispers in hesitant tones,
haunted by the shadows of hurt.
Carefree days spent in wonder
have given way to guarded steps,
scars of trauma etched upon my soul.
Yet, amid the ache, a resilience grows,
a net of strength woven
from the chains of my past.
For in the darkness, I find the light
to forge a path towards healing,
reclaiming the pieces of my identity.
The echoes of childhood may linger,
but they no longer define me.
I am more than the sum of my scars.
I am the embodiment of resilience,
a testament to the power of the human spirit,
risen from the ashes of my experiences.
