A poem

On a velveteen-lit night,
I dreamt a full rainbow.
Two hearts sewn by a constellation,
under the moon’s silk woven garb.
I drifted in dreams of a breathless kiss
that this crystal world could not shatter.
Its memory, like some recurring dream,
left a stain as it began to fade.
Parting now is just a distant gleam,
like a sad wisp of air.
Peppered clouds reflected on water,
silhouettes scrawled on the minds darkened wall.
That moonlit melody, that silvered tune,
now, just white glitter and long forgotten notes
flittering wearily down memory lane.
I am content in solitude.
