A poem

Beneath grey skies and harsh gulls cries,
Two quick breaths mix as eyes transfix.
Surge of the tide, noses collide,
Heads turn aside, awkward smiles wide.
Beneath grey skies and harsh gulls cries,
Four salt-stained shoes tread sandy views.
Exposed shoreline; fingers entwine,
A silent sign, two hearts combine.
Beneath grey skies and harsh gulls cries,
A sea wind blows and cold fret grows.
She wakes instead, more tears are shed.
An empty bed,
romance is dead.
