I volunteered at a food bank today and was so inspired by everyone’s teamwork and spirit of generosity.
I volunteered at a food bank today and was so inspired by everyone’s teamwork and spirit of generosity.
Total strangers came together to sort and pack thousands of pounds of food that will go to families in need in our community, and people who had never met before were chatting, laughing and working side-by-side. There was such care and compassion between everyone.
I loved seeing people pause to help and teach each other. Small acts of kindness were everywhere. Being surrounded by this atmosphere of selflessness motivated me to find more ways to give back on a regular basis.
I realized that when we all share our gifts to help others, the ripple effects spread far and wide, so not only do the recipients benefit, but we volunteers feel our lives enriched too.
Together, we can make a huge difference.
