Hi Nicolas
All of my early poetry writing was strictly rhyming and formal poetry, because I always thought that this was the only real poetry. I avoided non- rhyming like the plague. But down the years my views changed' In 16th and 17th century most poems were free-verse or prose poems. Though I still write rhyming stuff, it has gone out of fashion, and only a few die-hards persist with it. Free verse is very hard to write well, although it looks the easisest option.
