life unfolds in grit and grace
amidst laughter and silent screams.
In cramped quarters, walls hold secrets
and families huddle close,
stories intertwined in a world unkind
where hope flickers
like a distant candle in the cold.
Children in streets lined
with broken dreams,
innocence a fragile shield
against harsh realities,
learning to navigate
a world of contradictions
where resilience blooms amidst adversity.
The smoke and noise of urban decay,
where neighbours become kin,
sharing burdens and joy,
finding solace in bonds that never fray.
In this Glasgow slum tenement,
life pulses
with a rhythm all its own,
beneath threads of struggle and resilience
where beauty emerges
from the cracks in the stone.
