A poem

kiss the wind then turn from it
certain that it will love your back
then open your eyes to water
water waving forever
and in your innocence sail through this
to that, to the other shore where
healing waits, where peace extends
its gentle embrace to welcome you home.
let the current buoy you, bear you aloft
on its crest of understanding,
washing away the burdens you carry,
the worries that have weighed you down.
let the waters rise up to meet you,
to lift you, to carry you to salvation.
surrender to their endless rhythm,
their eternal, ebbing flow.
for in that place beyond the face of fear,
you will find respite, you will find solace.
open your heart, your soul to its healing grace,
and may it grant you the peace you seek.
