my cat
a kaleidoscope of fur
a patchwork of colours
shifting, shimmering
one moment
a fiery blaze of orange
the next
a silky slate of grey
spots of ebony
dotting the ginger
stripes of cream
winding their way
emerald eyes
reflecting the world
a twitching pink nose
sniffing adventures
this feline friend
my technicolour treasure
brings riot of hues
to my every day
each purr
each pounce
each playful measure
paints my world bright
