The Artistry of Flower Arranging
I used to see flower arranging as mere decoration, lacking depth or skill. But observing a professional florist at work changed my outlook.

I used to see flower arranging as mere decoration, lacking depth or skill. But observing a professional florist at work changed my outlook.
Their keen eye for colour, form, texture and balance transforms bundles of blooms into living artworks, and the meditative ritual of snipping stems, selecting vases, and sculpting arrangements is painstaking craftsmanship.
A stunning display evokes emotion, conveys meaning, and brings nature’s beauty indoors to enjoy. I didn’t expect the complexity of this art form. I now see floristry as a creative act, employing materials from the natural world to design something resonating, unique as a painting or song.
My regard for the artistry and care that goes into a gorgeous arrangement has blossomed.
