A poem
The pool, a mirror, lies still,
clouds passing, drifting willow.
Green-blue surface, glass-like, unbroken,
white plumes arcing, mirrored, windswept.
Silence, a breath suspending nature.
One ripple-forming glittered witness.
Reflected sky brooding, then bright.
Shadows and sunlight trading dominance.
Koi gliding below the pane.
Raindrops beginning to stipple, disperse.
A pause, in this moment
between past and next, stillness’s essence.
Above, around, life’s fluttering.
This fleeting mirror captures, then yields.
Water’s depths hold
and release transient beauty,
renewing, reborn.
