A poem
A drifter by nature, but not always so,
the great upwelling has forced me to go
along with my neighbors and move with the flow.
The journey has started, to where I don’t know,
and friends in the south have all stayed below,
though I’m moving North in the vast undertow.
The pattern we leave, like a jigsaw, will show
our path through the eons, the vast to and fro.
Gondwana, Eurasia, once joined at the toe,
now merely reflected by their afterglow.
