A poem

As one leaf falls from a tall, tall tree
and subtly caresses gnarled roots beneath,
another, dressed in a light sparkling jade
glides with grace onto spiked grassy blades.
Greyed ice now melds with cool sprinkled rain,
forming small pebbles that scatter like grain,
while angry bites of keen frost nibbles
on congealed motes and rain-spun dribbles.
Hoar-hardened soil brings into focus
the last sad remnants of Jonquil and Crocus,
and gently inhaling the scents of all this
I know that I’ve captured intangible bliss.
