That’s one magnificent painting! The first time I saw it was in 1985, when you could walk up close and catch it at all angles. The contrast of the lights and darks brings the characters to life! The last time I saw it back in 2022, it was being restored, and it was strung up in a big glass case, which was disappointing. It’s good to know that now it’s back up on the wall. I’m ready to go back!
